Annual cool-season legume.
Vining or bushy, up to 1.5m, with tendrils.
Pink to purple, pea-shaped, appearing in leaf axils.
Can be used as a green manure, cover crop, pasture, hay/silage production, and grain.
Fixes nitrogen, improves soil structure, smothers weeds, provides high-protein feed.
Tolerates light frost, good for mixed plantings with oat
